Wireless USB Connection? #595

Hi, have you ever tested a wireless USB Connection via devices like AAWireless? This enables i.e. Android Auto via WiFi or Bluetooth.

Not having to plug in your phone everytime you drive, but use AAIdrive functionality would be a big benefit.

I've never considered those solutions, figuring they were specific to only running Android Auto. From the car's perspective, the app would be running via USB, which gains faster performance than the Bluetooth connection but doesn't support the audio context. Try it out and share your experience!

I wish I still had my Mini to test, The AAWireless dongle has a USB Direct mode that I see possibility working with this.

Did you test the AAWireless dongle? Your car can still connect over USB, even if it supports Bluetooth, though MyBMW's USB support seems less than perfect.
