aai drive please help

i need some help please i have aai drive and it shows on my car display plays songs but no sound either via bluetooth or usb ive searched online and cant find a way to rectify this can anyone help me please ?

Are you driving an IDrive4 version? That version only supports running the app connection over USB. Even though the phone is playing music, it is going over the Bluetooth connection to the car, and so you must tell the car to play the music it is receiving from Bluetooth.

hi thanks for the reply yes i have id4 how can i tell the car to use bluetooth instead of usb as aa1 only shows on my car if usb is plugged in ?

You would have the car select the Bluetooth music source, just as if you are playing music from the phone without AAIdrive. AAIdrive doesn't act as a music source for ID4 cars, it just adds a UI to control the phone playing normal Bluetooth music.

I'm not sure what isn't working, what are you expecting to work?

1. Does your car support music playback over Bluetooth? Can your phone play music through the Bluetooth connection to the car, without using AAIdrive?
2. Does this music stay playing when you plug in the USB and AAIdrive starts?
3. With AAIdrive running over USB and music running over Bluetooth, it works.

What are you experiencing?

Hi Walter many thanks for your replies i messed around with the app and settings yesterday and managed to get it working many thanks for your help it is much appreciated
