Risk of running modded app alongside original app?

Hi, I saw the capital-letter warning while running RunMe.sh about not using the modded cloned app alongside the original Dji Go 4 (risk of disclosure toward DJI server + risk of bricking our drone).

• Is this risk still true as of today and with dji go 4.1.22 ?
• Can you give any link or info about it? I googled but found nothing.
• If the risk is there, is there any workaround? Like to put DJI app in work profile? Thank you!

Hey,

the risk is still there. The reason is that the go app uses a world read and writeable directory on your phone for data storage. so everything that you do with the modded app can be read and send to dji by the unmodded app. as we cannot decrypt current versions of go the risk is even higher, since nobody can check the code.

so always keep that in mind, better don’t run both apps on the same device!
