Why is there a dependency on Ray or megahit? #5

Why does the manual explicitly list a dependency to the assemblers Ray or Megahit? Is crucial info extracted from the contig headers instead of the contig sequence itself? does this mean metagen does not work on metaspades-assemblies?

We only test on these two assembler. However, you can use any assemblers. The info in the contig header is not crucial. MetaGen has an alignment step to count the mapped reads on contigs.
