Ideas for improving the https://bioc2023.bioconductor.org/ website.

If you would like to help, please, add your GitHub user ID, the task, and the timeline. Create pull requests, or separate demo repos. Add more ideas.

Happy to keep working on schedule automation. Which timeline would be good, @mdozmorov?

mdozmorov commented 1 year ago

This will be great, thanks, @sdgamboa. Mid-April-May will likely be the time for making the schedule. The BioC2023 Tentative schedule is already there, but we'll work with a more comprehensive schedule table.

Hi @mdozmorov, this is Junxia, my GitHub user ID is Damonlin11. I would like to add the built-in registration form. What timeline would you suggest?

mdozmorov commented 1 year ago

Thanks, Junxia @Damonlin11. We don't need it for this year, but it'll be great to have it for the next year. The timeline is flexible (say, before December 2023). It would be best to implement it directly in https://github.com/Bioconductor/BioC_template, so we can use it for the next year's conference.

If it is not urgent, I can do another one first. I could do populating "Mark your calendar" section from yaml files, what timeline would you suggest? @mdozmorov

mdozmorov commented 1 year ago

@Damonlin11, it would be useful now. And, certainly, for the next year. Suggesting implementing it in the template and then we bring it to the website. We should rename this section to "Latest news", to make it more inclusive. Sorry for the delay, was away.
