One of the goals of ELIXIR research infrastructure (www.elixir-europe.org) is to provide training for the life science community. This includes among other things providing training for researchers, trainers, developers and infrastructure operators. While there are plentiful of R and Bioconductor trainings aimed for the researchers, there is much less training opportunities available for the developer community.
In this SIG we would like to discuss what are the training needs for people who are developing or who wish to start developing R software. Based on the feedback and discussion outcomes ELIXIR can take action and start developing and providing R developer specific training events across Europe. This is your chance to have impact on the developer training.
The desired outcome: list of needs for training defined by the R community
Topic leaders: Hedi Peterson, @hedi-ee
Any interested participants are invited to use the issue to suggest relevant topics for discussion, ask questions, express their interest in participating.
