Re. no-conda: this is unlikely to happen on my watch, I don't have the energy for it. More commentary at rstudio/reticulate#1583.

Due to aggressive enforcement of their licencing terms by Anaconda, some institutions are now blocking access to anaconda.com because users often unknowingly connect to it due to it being the default. To avoid this, it would make sense that miniforge is used by default and that any non-free access require action from the user. Moving away from conda altogether would be a better solution (not easy I know).
