Using a form to crowdsource user submission -> GitHub issue #21

I think having a form like structure on the GitHub-hosted site would be helpful. Anyone who knows of a OA journal that is free/costs less for APC/has subsidies for low and mid-income countries should be able to submit from a simple form on the LowCostOpenAccess site which then can be accepted/discarded by the moderator.

Some useful resources:

  1. Google Form to GitHub issue: 1, 2, 3, 4 - the last one is probably the best. THINGS TO CONSIDER: Personal data, if any collected, being handled though Google
  2. TypeForm form to GitHub issue: 1. THINGS TO CONSIDER: Personal data, if any collected, being handled though TypeForm

Thanks, @psubhashish. Would you like to take the lead with this?

psubhashish commented 4 years ago

I'm not a developer but happy to help. What are the asks?

kipkurui commented 4 years ago

Alright. I will do the GitHub Tokens and linking up to issues. Could you help des the form, based on the table we already have?

Here is the form. Request for editor rights

kipkurui commented 4 years ago

@psubhashish I have most of the details now. Will edit the additional content when you are done with the form

I have updated the form but one of you who is the moderator/owner of the repo needs to run the scripts as it requires ownership of both the documents/repo (Google Forms and GitHub repo)

kipkurui commented 4 years ago

Wonderful. Let me try and get the script working
