About the two fields "Land management", I have the feeling they could bring some more interesting information on the actual state of the habitat, hardly available from GIS layers (e.g. crop information are here impossible to get from the ministry of agriculture...). But depending the degree of details we use in the "Habitat" fields, EUNIS classification indirectly includes management (for instance E2.6). So I believe management values should be determined based on selected habitat values.
Practically, values could be filtered based on the field "habitat". For instance:
if "Habitat" = Grassland => "Land management" = Hay production; Mowing (e.g. Silage); Grazing; Burning; ...
if "Habitat" = Forest: Here the stage of the forest (recently cleared, early succession, mature timberland...) could be more of interest for butterflies?! I did not find "coppice forest" in EUNIS habitat types, could it be selectable here? Label such as FSC, PEFC, PROSILVA...?
if "Habitat" = Crop => "Land management" = a list of major crop productions like for instance Cereals (except corn); Corn; Vegetables; Oilseeds; Sugar beet; Potato;...
Need to review approach.
