Program download pics very slowly. #984

I have both Danbooru downloader and Grabber installed here, DanbooruDownloader download pics at max speed, but it takes a lot of time to download them on this program, i liked this program more than DD, so, there's a way to speed up the download speed? thanks.

What kind of downloads are you doing? Did you login in either of the programs? And how much of a speed difference did you notice?

Here's a few experiments I just did (while logged out on both programs):

So they were going at pretty much the same speed? (Grabber even having the upper hand but hardly significant)

While grabber takes seconds to start and download pics at 10-200Kbps, DD download them at max speed of my network (1.5MB/s) and start the downloads instantly. I forgot to say, i was downloading pics form Sankaku.

Could it simply be that the speed display or calculation is different? Grabber uses a moving average and only updates the speed display per image every second.

Does the actual download time change? I'll do some experiments using Sankaku then because I saw no difference for Danbooru.

"Could it simply be that the speed display or calculation is different?" No, because downloading any image in DD downloads at max speed, on grabber only in the first images, then it slows down completely... Sometimes it takes 4h to download some images here. It's really strange.

From what i know Danbooru doesnt has download limit and Gelbooru doesnt has too, so probably you can download at full speed in these sites aways. On sankaku there's an image limit but i've never got this error while downloading things through DD.

DD has a godawful UI and scrolling images take a lot of time to load. So it's not good although in somethings it works better.
