Slideshow controller visibility #100

First of all thanks very much for publishing the 'slideshow' package, it s
a very useful and flexible tool.

At certain times when viewing a slide show page with Safari (v4 & v3.2.3
tried) the controller bar will appear and not fade out no matter where the
mouse pointer is placed - it just remains visible in the middle of the
images for the duration of the slideshow. This seems (not 100% sure if this
is the cause) to be triggered if the mouse pointer is in the slideshow area
of the screen when the slide show is initiated. It is much more likely to
occur if the slide show is sized up (say 800x600 or above) hoever it is
also evident in the default configuration. I do not ever get the same
symptom with Firefox (3.0.11) nor Opera (9.27).

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create new html page in Dreamweaver (I was using single column liquid
template). To eliminate possibility of other influences I kept this as the
sole page in the site for testing.
2. Insert webwidget 'Ken Burns Slideshow'. No other changes made.
3. Save as index.html along with the default stylesheet(all slideshow &
mootools dependent files are copied to the site directory by Dreamweaver)
4. Open index.html with Safari (the behaviour is the same whether opening
from a local directory file as well as if all files are uploaded to a
remote host - I tried both)

It is expected that the slide show starts with the controller bar invisible
and then becomes visible only when the mouse pointer is over the slideshow
image. Instead with Safari only the slide show starts with the bar visible
and it remains visible whether the mouse is over the image or not.

version of the product:
Slideshow 2r147 including
mootools version:"1.2.1",build:"0d4845aab3d9a4fdee2f0d4a6dd59210e4b697cf"
Operating system MAC OS 10.4.11
Using Dreamweaver CS4 v10 build 4117
Browsers: Firefox 3.0.11, Opera 9.27, Safari 4.0 & 3.2.3

Additional information below.
I am not sure if this is relevant but when doing a browser compatibility
check in Dreamweaver, the following is highlighted:
"Found 12 errors in slideshow.css
Affects: Firefox 1.5; Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0; Internet Explorer for
Macintosh 5.2; Netscape 8.0; Opera 8.0, 9.0; Safari 2.0"
this refers to the "unsupported property - opacity"

best regards and thanks in advance for any useful comments that you may have.
René

The Dreamweaver web widget is not supported - sorry, it didn't work out.

Please try using the latest version of Slideshow available on this website under
Downloads.
