What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a slideshow, click to start = true, thumbnails = true.
2. Click on a thumbnail
3. Spinner spins, but nothing happens.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I would expect the slideshow to start, and probably to advanced to the
clicked image.

This may be a bit confusing to site visitors.

This now works after two clicks, but not after 1.  First click: Only apparent 
change
is that the caption disappears.  Second click: Jumps to the image I clicked on.
