Even on your website, the KenBurn transition are really jerky.

Do you know a way to smooth that up ?

I'm using Firefox3, and have a decent computer.

Ken Burns is a combination of scaling and panning effects. The scaling effect
is very dependent on the operating
system (ie Windows vs Mac vs Linux) since the OS is what determines the
resampling algorithm used by the
browser. In general, any browser on Mac will scale much better. There is no
sub-pixel positioning in any
browser, so the quality of the panning is determined by how much the image will
pan: an image that pans a lot
(ie a panoramic image in a square slideshow) will animate smoother. That's
about as much control as you can
get with Slideshow. For a smoother Ken Burns effect I would recommend a
Flash-based solution. Or simple use
Slideshow with a different effect - there are a lot to choose from!
