auto update unzip function can be SUPER slow sometimes #23

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. run auto-update from client
2. check how long unzipping takes 
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
should be pretty quick, 30sec.  Sometimes it takes 30sec, sometimes 5 MINUTES

if java unzip fubar, maybe go the 'semi free software route':
