I haven't read the paper in detail but if it calculates a repeatability estimate per individual would that be useful for assessing group-level representativeness (i.e. repAssess) or rather for the individual effect test?
I've only skimmed over it but the application example is with individuals... yeah it sounds like a much better statistically developed version of the individual effect test!
Somebody came up with a fancy new technique to calculate repeatability for trajectories. This requires the computation of large distance matrices, and may therefore not be more efficient than what we currently do - but I thought it might be worth a try to see whether this method can (a) be seamlessly integrated and (b) makes a difference in computation time?
