@jamiebullock I cannot test it. I do not have a windows machine. Do we have at the lab?
This isn't fixed. I can confirm this as a Windows-specific present in 1.6 and 1.7
The issue occurs when a filename contains non-ascii characters, for example an em dash. The non-ascii characters get mangled and presumably sent to libPd in that form.
The solution for now is to advise users to remove non-ascii characters from filenames
This may be a 1.6 bug that is fixed already in 1.7, but a number of Windows 7 machines having issues with Soundfiler playback. Basically sounds loading, but not playing.
