I have forgot ...... WIN 10

Try again ..... i do not see my problem ..... 1) OS WIN 10

2) Till yesterday defi wallet 2.5.0 work fine Today i open it via backup wallet (as usual) but all my balance (coin and liquidity) are 0

I have done this things: A) Resync via snapchat b) Resync via SETTING option in defiwallet C) Control in DEFI CAHIN used addres and coin and liquidity are in D) Reinsatll all with last version 2.5.1 but nothing change

What can i do LOG.log

Hi @Disilluso , seems like you've a connection error, is your firewall turn on? Was your app at 100%? It needs to be turned off when the app is running. You can try to restart your PC and try to run the app again.

Regarding 2. ...open it via backup wallet , I'd like to understand why would you need to open it via wallet backup? As the app should continue to sync from where you closed it previously.

Can you try another wallet.dat? I'll provide the steps. You should be able to find other wallet.dat in the wallets folder, unless you've stored elsewhere on your PC.

For Windows, the wallets folder is located here: C: \Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\DeFi Blockchain\wallets

In the wallets folder you'll likely see wallet-bak-123456789 as well, these are additional backups.

  1. In the app, Exit Wallet

    Exit Wallet

  2. Restore Wallet via Backup Select another wallet.dat in the wallets folder or where you've specified your other backups.

I have remove DAFI APP via APP in WIN 10. But, of course this is not enoght.

Question: a have done a copy of WALLET FOLDER, found in C: \Users\\AppData\Roaming\DeFi Blockchain\wallets like your suggest

But in APP>ROAMING (folder where i can find DeFi Blockchain > wallet and just backed up) i find also DEFI-WALLET folder.

I have to back up also this one ?

Hi @Disilluso , do you mean C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\defi-wallet? If there's a wallet.dat there it's likely create by yourself. Either way, yes, back it up. You could also save your wallet backups on a folder in your C: drive which is unique to you. For eg. create and save wallet backup in Documents, so you know where to always access the wallet.dat.

If you did not specify, there should only be 1 wallets folder, which is here: C: \Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\DeFi Blockchain\wallets

Did you manage to try another wallet.dat to get your balances to display on the app?

Hi Bella

I'd operate in this way:

I'd copied and saved this 3 folder on desktop (installed in default directory): 1) DeFiBlockchain 2)defi-wallet 3)wallet

Then i ve deleted (via WIN10) DeFi prg and cancelled all remaining folder step by step.

Then i've re-install DeFi prg, use snapchat for sync blockchain and wait for the rest of the block. At the moment Defi wallet are totally sync with blockchain.

From DeFiBlockchain (saved folder on desktop before removed prg DeFi) i have copied my last back up wallet and paste in the new installed folder DeFiBlockchain but my balance is 0

Where i'm wrong ?

Hi Bella

I'm tryng (via Restore Wallet from Backup) to resume my balance.

I have try with all file WALLET.DAT (original and all the other .DAT saved with different name. Usually i save next backup file with different name) that I'd saved on desktop before re-install Defi App.

With all .DAT file my balance are 0 except one that return this error -> "Wallet balance error: network error"

Any idea ?

    • DeFi Blockchain
    • defi-wallet

  2. Currently, the wallets folder you backup-ed is on desktop right? Are you able to sync to 100% and see this screen?

  1. If yes, instead of copying the wallet to the DeFi Blockchain folder — as you previously did, can you try selecting the wallet.dat from desktop / wherever you saved the wallets folder?

By default when you click Restore wallet via backup, this screen will show:

But for example, you saved the wallet backup in Documents/_BACKUP. As such, redirect the app to the folder Documents/_BACKUP, and select the wallet.dat.

I have duplicate all folder (DeFi Blockchain and defi wallet) on desktop and app is sync 100 %

Before i encourred in my problem, every time that i closed app, i make a backup with different name each time. In DEFI BLOCKCHAIN -> WALLET'S FOLDER i have many back up with different name (usually I named with a number .... e.g 1.dat or 2.dat and so on) and also many file named wallet.bak. LONG NUMBER.dat

I try to restore many time with a major part of .dat but my balance is ever zero and no trx hystory

Hi @Disilluso , yes the LONG NUMBER.dat are also backups.

wallet dat location

Try using those files — do not rename it. You can delete the other folders if you've duplicated them, you only need the wallets folder as it contains the wallet.dat(s). Wait for app to sync to 100% then click Restore Wallet from Backup, then select the path of the folder you kept your wallet.dat.

Many thx for your support ..... at the end i have find the right backup's file and i can mange my account (add more liquidity .... 🙂 ) Sorry for my late responde but .bak file was very much !!!

Just upgrade to the new version (2.6.3) and also dowload mobile app ....... great work !!
