In the v4.0 branch, there is now a new settings dialog. Some strings were
changed, some removed, some added. Could you please translate this file:
http://code.google.com/p/hide-bookmarksbar/source/browse/branches/v4.0/chrome/lo
cale/en-US/options.dtd and post it here?
I added some screenshot of the new dialog

Original comment by les3dou...@gmail.com on 17 Jul 2011 at 3:25

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I only need options.dtd for now. The browser overlays will get edited soon,
with some new strings.
What do you mean you only translated from 604 to 832?

I don't know what you mean. There is no file that has 600 lines...

Huuum, I too don't understand, I didn't have as much, at the beginning, I have
surely done something wrong in jedit, I don't find what, it's not important if
the files seems to be OK for you, this seems to be usable, for you?

Ah, I see what you did. You right-clicked the link I gave you and chose "Save
target as...". But that link leads you to a Google Code page. When you open the
link, you can view the raw file by clicking on "View raw file" on the right.
(which is here:
http://hide-bookmarksbar.googlecode.com/svn/branches/v4.0/chrome/locale/en-US/op
tions.dtd)

Hi, I hope I don't have a newmistake, please take a look at :
http://code.google.com/p/hide-bookmarksbar/source/browse/branches/v4.0/chrome/lo
cale/en-US/options.dtd?spec=svn79&r=79

is it ok?

Well, you just edited the English locale. I will copy it to a new French locale
and rollback the old English version.

BTW: I want you to appear as official translator. But - I don't know who to
name.
Do you want to be named? If so, I need a name (if real or nickname - a name).
You will be named in the 'About' box of the extension.

Oops, I'm really sorry, again some more work for you, excuse me TT

to me avoid to redo this: if it is possible to edit directly from the site and
upload it to the right place (where, exactly? ), what I have to do (step by
step please)?
if I can download the file, where do I have to download it and where do I have
to upload it after processing?

(sorry, I'm a little bit stupid but it's the first time that I do this on
code.google, and I am a little lost here) like that, it will be done once and
for all I'll bother you less, and it will be more effective

thank you,
good luck
good night

ps : now that the mistake is done you can take your time to answer, it's not
urgent for me

thanks for all

thanks for adding to the about...

On the Google Code site, you can only edit a single file at once. For advanced
editing, you would normally use a VCS, in this case Subversion.
I suppose you're not a developer/coder. Therefor, I will in future copy the
English file to the proper place, so you can translate it in-place.
If you are really willing to learn (I don't want to force you), you can learn
to work with Subversion. With Subversion you can download the complete source
code, edit it on your computer with an editor of your choice and upload the
changes as a new revision. A good tutorial is the svnbook:
http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.5/index.html
Again, you don't need to do this. It's no problem for me to just copy the file
and inform you.
I will close this issue for now. When I've done more work with strings to be
translated, I will reopen it.

With revision 82, I changed the browser overlay, with some new strings. With
revision 83, I added the appropriate files for en-US and fr-FR. Can you
translate this file?
-->
http://code.google.com/p/hide-bookmarksbar/source/browse/branches/v4.0/chrome/lo
cale/fr-FR/browser-overlay.dtd
(Yes, you can translate it in place, online)
You can leave the first two strings as they are.

Tip:
After editing the code, you must (and should) provide a "commit message", in
the field that says "Describe your changes". You should always summarize what
you have done.
If you add the line "Closes issue 10." (without the quotes) after your message,
this issue will be updated automatically (cf
http://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/IssueTracker#Integration_with_version_cont
rol)

Sorry, but I had to change the options dialog in order to simplify some
settings. Could you translate options.dtd again?
http://code.google.com/p/hide-bookmarksbar/source/browse/branches/v4.0/chrome/lo
cale/fr-FR/options.dtd
I modified the file, now there are some English strings in between. You can see
the changes I made here:
http://code.google.com/p/hide-bookmarksbar/source/diff?spec=svn88&r=88&format=si
de&path=/branches/v4.0/chrome/locale/fr-FR/options.dtd&old_path=/branches/v4.0/c
hrome/locale/fr-FR/options.dtd&old=80
I'm getting closer to a release, so I hope I don't have to bother you everyday.

I'm not sure whether you got a notification.
I took a look at your translation, and I'm not sure about some parts. My French
is quite weak, so could you maybe take a closer look at the lines I noted?
