[Display bug] bar stays open during tabs are hovered (this time it's for you ...) #11

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
When you hover the button, the bar opens, and if you go directly from the
button to the tabs, the bar closes only after you have stopped to hover the
tabs.

if it is not really a problem with conventional tabs this is little more with
the side tabs.

tested with a new profile and just your extension and then with my profile with
"tree style tabs" : same behaviour

FF5, hb3.2

thanks...

Sorry, I think I didn't understand you.

I suppose you have "Toggle the toolbar with the mouse" enabled.
Which toolbars are enabled? Tabs on top or not?

What exactly did you do? How did you move the mouse?

Hi,Felix, you always respond quickly, it's pleasant, thank you

so, if I understood well, this is the world championship finale of : "those who
speak English very well but not too much", right? ;-)

So, we'll try like this:

-ok, for toggle option, that's it
-same behaviour with tabs on top or not
-if you want to have a test quickly, try :

_new profil
_tabs on top and only navbar
_add hbb
_open 5 tabs
_put the hbb button at the right of the tabs
_hover the button and go directly on the tabs: the bar doesn't close,as long as
you stay on tabs

if you have the tabs in the sidebar, it can be painful

it was more clear?

In any case, thank you ...

Sorry, I was busy in the last few days. I think I will make new major release
(v4.0 or so) with some parts completly rewritten. I will start a new branch
soon, if you know subversion, you can stay up to date.

Hi, no need to apologize, it's enough great to take into account the requests,
thanks for that... I can imagine that you don't have only that to do ;-)
I'm not sure to understand about "subversion" if you mean watching for release
here or on mozilla, I will.
otherwise, I don't know what you meant
For the next release, do I have to count in
...months...weeks...days.......minutes!!!
I'll stay tuned
thanks...

Subversion is a Version control system (VCS, see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revision_control). It's integrated into Google
Code, see the 'Source' tab above. With a VCS, I can develop on several
branches, and every change is documented as a revision. I just created a new
branch, see
http://code.google.com/p/hide-bookmarksbar/source/browse/#svn%2Fbranches%2Fv4.0
. When this branch is working, I will remove the old 'trunk' branch (which is
normally the main development branch) and replace it by the v4.0 branch.

ok, thanks for the explanations
right now, the branch is some pieces of the new hbb, with a new method of work,
and if it'll become better than previous, you'll replace the old one, and
continue to work with the new "method", right?
but I can't put them in a new xpi, I have to wait, right too?
about this, I'm ok for a preview
thanks again,
bye

You can make a XPI from that branch, but atm, it would be useless. Since I'm
changing quite much, I disabled the code that toggled the bar for now. I'm
working on a new preference dialog, some new options, some old ones removed.
If you want to try it, you could checkout (download) the code form the branch,
put it into a ZIP file and rename the file with a .xpi extension. But as I
said, it's absolutly useless for now and even the settings dialog might not
work because the translations changed.
You sent me a French translation as issue 10. I will soon upload a new
translation. Do you want to be an official translator? I would add you to this
project, notify you about string changes and you'll be included in the
extension of course.

Hi,
if by official you mean : "an always available translator, who always gives the
translation the next day", no,(I have an irregular job)if you mean "the guy who
translate the more seriously he can, when he has some time", of course with
great pleasure
see you...

I mean the latter :-D
I will add you to this project, so you will be an official commiter.
