[Bug]: No borders displayed #485

Open enrico223 opened 1 year ago

enrico223 commented 1 year ago

Summary

Despite setting windows to have borders displayed in the the window tiling section and the bismuth decoration, border display is still buggy. It works really at random, but most of the time it doesn't, and when it does borders are displayed only in one or two windows. E.g. Sometimes borders on kitty window work, but not for firefox, sometimes it is the contrary. Sometimes just the system settings window has borders. But most of the time, no borders at all.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. install bismuth
  2. make sure there is not tik on no borders around tiled windows
  3. make sure to use bismuth window decorations

Expected behavior

Borders everywhere.

bismuth is deprecated (incase you didnt know that). bismuth didnt work on wayland since kde 5.27 and you need to use x11 for it to work properly

I didn't know it was deprecated. Does it have a successor or something that works on wayland?
