Options with a data input field

The following options can be categorized, for the purposes of this issue, as data entry options:

• Database Cache Size
• Script Verification Threads
• Storage Limit

These are options that need to take in some value that has to be written in by the user. The above examples are shown below in screenshots:

The concern is around how should this data input element work/look explicitly:

• Should there be a gray border around it while a user has the input field selected (#26)?
• What are the best UX guidelines for separating the unit from the text that is editable?
