My First Bitcoin's goal is to provide "Open Source Bitcoin Education for the World." They started with the Bitcoin Diploma and have since build a large amount of educational material and a network of educators and communities. As they grow, their needs for design support increase. It's all volunteer and community focused, a grassroots effort.
Mo and I had a call with them and they were wondering if there are some designers out there that might be willing to help out. A few needs that were mentioned:
It is important to have printed versions of the educational material. How can the course material on Github be turned into formats that allow for book printing? What would the design of those books look like?
Guidance for performing user research to identify ways to improve the learning platform
Translating educational material is important. There are good solutions for text, but images can be harder (text in images specifically). How can this be improved?
Some of this is pretty technical, but there's also a heavy dose of design and research in there. It's a great initiative that would be awesome to support.
