DoR – Completion of Research Phase

Complete the following cycle:

Awareness
- Pull together legacy information (background)
- Define vision and goals of the product, client, organization
- Check on stakeholder hopes and fears
- Identify the definition of success
Observation
- Run a content inventory
- Perform audience analysis
- Pull data from Google Analytics on content
- Test current IA
Interpretation
- Evaluate Google Analytics
- Create user flows and identify pain points
- Perform content gap analysis
- Perform ROT analysis
- Prioritization matrix (features)
- Identify problem statements
- Brief stakeholders

Knowing the problems statement(s), create tickets with:

DoD – Completion of Design Phase

Complete the following cycle (as many rounds as necessary):

Exploration
- Wireframe content
- Map content types
- Create a new IA
- Spec out new features and prototype as needed
- Write hypotheses
Implementation team check
- Work with developers to validate wireframes
- Work with developers to validate content type mapping
- Work with developers to validate new feature specs and prototypes
- Work with content analysts and SMEs to validate IA
- Work with stakeholders to validate content and features
Validation
- Test hypotheses
- Test IA
- Usability testing of features and content wireframes
- QA content types
Client approval
- Stakeholders are briefed
- Client understands evidence used to make decisions
- O&M has been defined
- Client signs off

The cycle is complete when the following can be solved:
