The idea has several distinct parts, and is more of a network optimization than a game mechanic:
[ ] Physical fixtures won't lead immediately after entering an area.
[ ] Physical fixtures will load like any other object, once they've entered the player's field of view.
[ ] Once loaded, fixtures never unload until you leave an area.
This will break the mini map. We could just add fixtures to the mini map as they appear, but there is another option...
[ ] Add a fog of war map to the mini map. As the player travels, it will reveal more and more of the map so that the player is completely unaware of the fixtures being loaded in the background.
[ ] We'd need a way to make this functionality configurable.
