It looks like gerix is written for pyqt3 but the pyqt3 aur package has been removed from aur and orphaned. Do we want to contnue supporting it?
The github page has not been updated in 2 years and it explicitally requires pyqt3.
Does pyqt3 conflict with pyqt4?
Im looking into it, pyqt3 requires qscintilla-qt3 which requires qt3. I did find out that qt3 and qt4 do not conflict each other as far as I can tell.
its dependency hell.. sort of
I got qscintilla-qt2 to compile: https://gist.github.com/archey/57048f7fd2eac360e557, but then it has to compile pyqt3 which wont compile. Arch has removed pyqt3 and qscintilla-pyqt3 from the community repo, do we really want to support it? Its not going to get any updates with pyqt4 and pyqt5. Is this package worth our time?
Discussed in IRC. Not worth the effort.
