Kali Toolkit? #917

Hi,

Sorry for such a long issue report. I tend to ramble (oops).

I am absolutely loving all the tools you guys have set, but it would be great if the full suite of Kali tools were available. I was going down and compairing the list here: http://tools.kali.org/tools-listing and noticed there were quite a few missing! I also noticed you have many tools they have, which is great! It would just be nice if you guys could include their full suite as well as the others you already have. I would love to help in any way I can (i'm a comp sci major, I'm still new to the whole open source community thing though so idk where to even start!)

I also noticed that the menu's for BlackArch don't work in Xfce? I have been trying to figure out why and haven't a clue.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help/learn!!

Thanks for your message. Can you do us a favour and send us a diff? Like which tools are missing.

incomingstick commented 9 years ago

This is what looks like is missing after comparing their list and your list. I have linked each tool to the link that Offensive Security provides. I have also organized the list by utility to help when adding them to the BlackArch menus (hopefully when they are working again in Xfce, which I'm still looking in to), so there are going to be doubles throughout the list. Sorry it took me a few days, I ahven't had much time to sit down and format the list but here is the completed comparison. Please let me know what I can do to help get them added and ready to go :+1:

Hi, most of the tools you listed are present. Some are not we can add them but please have a look in our Repository (pacman -Sgg blackarch) and compare your list with ours

flamusdiu commented 9 years ago

@noptrix This is the list I came up with (may not be 100%):

bluemaho cryptcat distorm3 edb-debugger fragroute fragrouter funkload gpp-decrypt gr-scan gsd ismtp isr-evilgrade mfterm multiforcer oclgausscrack pixiewps proxystrike regripper rtpinsertsound rtpmixsound sqldict wordlists

This is after spending a while pulling the list from the Kali site and doing a list compare (fun python) and then manually checking some packages (names were different).

flamusdiu commented 9 years ago

Oh, I also removed any packages you can install directly from official Arch repos too. It didn't make sense to list those. =)

noptrix commented 9 years ago

thank you. will try to get the full list.

flamusdiu commented 9 years ago

@noptrix Do you want me to look at the ones for Kali 2.0? This was before that came out.

noptrix commented 9 years ago

yeah, that would be good. thx

noptrix commented 9 years ago

but only the real diff. also keep in mind, that we use sometimes different conventions, for example 'edb' instead of 'edb-debugger'.

flamusdiu commented 9 years ago

Yeah, I noticed that. Hard to tell a bit but I'll see what I can do. I will work on this after my college work.

gpp-decrypt this is still not in blackarch I needed it today for a pentest and manually got it from the kali repo

noptrix commented 8 years ago

sorry @ChrisFernandez - will do it by today/tomorrow

See #89 for regripper. There is a newer repository for that tool https://github.com/keydet89/RegRipper2.8
