We need to extensively document/maintain documentation on our services

Documentation should include the following

[ ] High level overview of what the service does
[ ] list of service dependencies
[ ] service's communication protocol and api's
[ ] clear instructions of how to setup the service and its dependencies
[ ] service level architectural diagram of the service and it's dependencies as well as where it fits in the complete architecture
