Tiny Desert Rider Changes (Drip Buff, Riding 2, mostly for fun.) #1300

I'm giving the Desert Riders RIDING 2 and making their funny red hat a shittier padded hat - so they can wear it a little bit longer before it must immediately be replaced by the first dented helmet they find. (I want it to still suck.)

About The Pull Request

they're called fucking riders, let em ride! (silly skill tbh, id be surprised if I even see them use it ingame lol) And we all love their drip... and I saw a person here asking for the "hide hair" to be added to it, so fuck it, let's let it block one hit lol.

Why It's Good For The Game

Mercs are fun, I would like to see them be an extremely popular role again like they were awhile ago. (Idk how the fuck to make the grenzelgoofs any better, lmao.)

It would be funny if Grenzelhoft's had more polearm RNG, maybe a chance for an Eagle's Beak?

honestly the issue is that they are actually very good in almost every single way, the main issue with them lies in their weapon choice to begin with

Red Mercs literally spawn with ONE OF THE BEST WEAPONS lol IT IS UNIQUE TOO! If I am red merc and I see a player with one that IS NOT a red merc - your ass is in trouble, lol.

Grenzels should get their own cool spear (and I cant do that) before something like "haha RNG chance to spawn with best polearm"

(This PR will only be changing the Red Mercs)

Should be fine, close if not - please actually peep the code make sure I don't fucking break the god damn red hat because that would BREAK ME lol.

I wonder if it would be possible to code the desert ranger keffiyeh as being able to worn on your neck slot as well like a chain coif, and still appear over your helmet (unlike a chain coif, which is only visible under your primary helmet). This would make it so that people could wear the drip over their helmet but not have proper neck protection (maybe it could have the same amount of neck protection as the cloth gorget).

I mean I really think that it should be replaced still, but this just let's them have a tiny break before they do.

The main issues with grenzelhofts are just that they are:

  1. Powercrept by Desert Riders (One spawns with a weapon that anyone can get, the other spawns with a 100% unique sword that is one of the strongest in the game)
  2. They're more race-restrictive to play (Humen/Helf only blocks out a chunk of the playerbase already, & If you want to play Humen with polearms skill you can literally just pick Knight/MAA Instead) & 3. By virtue of the above 2 points, their lack in player-traction leads to most grenzelhoft mercenaries either being alone, or mostly alone, Which I have outright seen hamper the odds of them managing to find a job ("I already hired a better mercenary" / "I wanted to hire several mercenaries, & the DR's were already in a group.")

I am going to stop changing anything in this codebase after this is merged or closed. I have had fun, and I am glad to contribute, but I feel like I must now take a step back and not - do that anymore. This is not my project. It is yours. That means a lot to me.

I am very happy to see people play the doctor role I made, that is cool! I like the new name that the dev gave it way more than just Doctor too! Barber Surgeon is more fitting, and more free form for the player to do whatever silly RP they wanna do with it. I hope somebody can eventually add the scissors that let you change people's hair to it, because that is beyond me.

The only other thing I want fixed/changed is removing "collapse and faint" from the possible emotes or just make them not make you unconscious. I miss the need to use a bed in a safe place, that was a fun mechanic that is now completely exploited out.

Otherwise, I feel like I am a dipshit who has no idea what he is doing, and that is very stressful when I am literally interjecting code into a project that I am not actually even much a part of all because I am so distant from the OOC stuff like Discord. This isn't me saying "I do not want to do anything" it is "I am genuinely too unskilled to be helpful" and I want that to be clear.

So I am hoping that the things I have done are beneficial or enjoyable, like this silly change and the others that were merged.
