Why It's Good For The Game

dendor magics

Stagrawl commented 2 weeks ago

These look really cool, but the current implementation of them slightly clashes with possible future design points under discussions right now and Dendor doesn't have much space for it.

Vaguely going in an interesting direction though that could align with some future vision.

Is there any way you could implement these so that they're not spells, but perhaps more like rituals that rely on the Druidry skill in some way?

Ie. Feeding Blood to Planted Berries makes them blood berries. Ie. Performing some rite using herbs to awaken the buddies. Ie. Creating the vines as traps of some sort with the Druidry skill? Fibers, thorns, sticks?

I like the idea of making them ritual based, but I'm not really sure I can come close to coding rituals, I usually just copy existing codes

Also if the rituals aren't possible, how about making the druidic skill a crafting like skill that crafts magic items, that would then carry the spells

Apologies for not getting back to you on this.

That would work well, yeah.
