[REQUEST] Revert "Shield shall work correctly " #572

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Shields have been nerfed to the ground in relation to ranged combat even though ranged combat is the most complained about and polarizing part of gameplay in the server. In order to actual repel bolts/arrows aimed at you, you need to switch to a shield in your hand, toggle the block intent and then charge it afew seconds and NEVER switch to a weapon if you want to actually deflect an arrow/bolt. The many steps to actual achieve "blocking" is cumbersome unlike just attacking with a weapon or shooting a ranged weapon, and does not incentivize shield usage from how unfun and mechanically slow it is. You also can't actually..."fight" when the mechanics are like this, as you lose your "block" charge when you switch your active hand to your actual weapon. The passive defence bonus of 40% for shields is definitely not enough as it gives the statistical advantage to the ranged user to be able to one shot you in their first hit even against a shielded user.

Describe the solution you'd like

Either A-) Make shields work directionally to repel any bolts/arrows coming from the direction they're facing or

B - ) Remove the dumb fucking "charge" mechanic that forces you to keep your shield as the only item active in your hand and doesn't let you switch to your actual weapon, effectively making it useless if you're fighting a crossbowman who knows how shields work and is just waiting to point blank you/or when fighting multiple people. You should keep the "charge" until you put away your shield or get out of combat mode, and not lose it when you switch to your weapon
