Apart from the driver that is a bit old, I don't see problems with your setup.
What is the exact angle commit you tried?

I just checked out Chromium using instructions. third_party/angle is at
commit 34d719b588532da1b73f0cc09927f6656ef4593b

Revert "Revert "dEQP: Compile dEQP targets in Chromium.""
Tests open many short-lived windows, but I think windows related to failing
tests doesn't have any content, they are just frames. Also, there are some
errors in stderr:

FYI I've tested angle_end2end_tests on Linux Debug, Ubuntu 14.04, with ANGLE at
34d719b588532da1b73f0cc09927f6656ef4593b and Chromium at
e58d8b5425724e47dafc172a02c25943a95bcba6 and it runs to completion. I see one
or two flaky test failures occasionally but nothing persistent. See attached
about:gpu from a running Chromium instance.
