Can you be more specific? Like are you having problems with them in UTAU? Or did you just not know you had to use them in UTAU?

In UTAU you use the mouse tool for selecting things and the pen tool for writing notes. Now he doesn't tell you this in the tutorial but your gonna want to double click on the notes you place to type in them and type to sound you want the character to make,(ex. A E I O U) some voices don't have certain vowels.

When you get all this set up I also want you to go here https://utaforum.net/threads/utau-resampler-directory.538/ and download some resamplers(More specifically fresamp, TIPS, and bkh01). Resamplers are what make the voices sing and some resamplers work better for some voices than others. For example, Daddy Dearest's voice seems to work well with fresamp, while Skid seems to work well with TIPS. It's best for you to try out each voice with different resamplers to see what works best. The resampler that comes with UTAU kinda sucks for most voices.
