This seems like a nice suggestion, but electric fireboxes make no sense (unless you plan to have steam-powered machines in addition to turbine). You won't end up with more energy than you had by simply doing GJ -> Heat -> Steam -> GJ cycle - and if you do, you just got an infinite energy generator.
The whole idea behind electric fireboxes is that you could use them out of atmosphere, but at the cost of having a mild net loss of energy. But you do have a point in them being useless.
Another idea would be to allow regular fireboxes on other planets at cost of requiring constant oxygen supply (either via pipes or by using GC's machines to create breathable air around them).
That could work. Great idea!

Description of the issue: This is less of an issue, and really just a suggestion. Basically I've noticed other mod's steam generators either are too large to fit the Galacticraft theme, or just work no matter the atmosphere. So here I am suggesting some possible ways and uses for proper steam power in Galacticraft. A steam setup would consist of the boiler, which would burn water with heat provided of fireboxes, which in turn would go to a turbine. There would be 3 types of fireboxes. Solid fuel, which would burn furnace fuels/coal. Liquid fuel, which would burn oil. Then electric, which would burn GJ. The heat would then be piped out to nearby boilers, possibly using new heat pipes? Which the boilers would then make steam. Which would be piped to the turbine via Galacticraft pipes. I know these would be single block machines, and I kind of prefer that more than how all the power mods do it. As for use? I'd say steam power would be an investment. Where it starts with low performance, but can be upgraded. And in the case of electric fireboxes, used out of atmosphere.
I also know the coal generator exists, but ehhhhhh.... Thanks for reading my WALL of text.
