Can't play any audio files #19

Closed Zorlin3321 closed 5 years ago

Windows user. I use the add function in the gui executable, but all files result in an error saying Unknown file format, or error finding the file, or something broke while playing this track. I tried first with mp3 files, but thought maybe since this bot was built for linux, a .flac or .ogg file, might be the case, but nope, same problem. any idea wtf is going on?

Hi, please try the new version 0.10.0 and see if that works for you. https://github.com/Bleuzen/Blizcord/releases/tag/v0.10.0

I have no Windows machine here to test, but I just tested all known audio formats again on my Linux machine and it works. But in theory it should also work an Windows.

If the new version does not fix the problem, please run Blizcord with the --debug command line flag and paste the output on something like pastebin / hastebin / ...

I get it, it must be near impossible to test your program on something you don't own. I'm getting the same errors. I'm not too well learned in programming, so forgive me, but what do you mean using the debug command? There's no console for the executable. apologies for the confusion.

Do you know how to open a "Command prompt" / "cmd.exe" / Powershell on Windows? If not: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgSSJQolR0E

Open that in the directory of the Blizcord.exe and type in: java -jar Blizcord.exe --gui --debug You should see the debug output now.

one error, then the other. https://pastebin.com/AnNzVgCx

Well, Lavaplayer can not find it's native library.

Are you using 32-bit Windows? If so, please try an older version of Blizcord and report if this works: https://github.com/Bleuzen/Blizcord/releases/download/v0.9.5/Blizcord.exe

Bleuzen commented 5 years ago

I had a look what changed with lavaplayer and saw they removed x86 (32-bit) native libraries. https://github.com/sedmelluq/lavaplayer/issues/215

Zorlin3321 commented 5 years ago

Nope. I use 64bit windows.

Do you also have 64-bit Java installed?

Also, have you tried version 0.9.5 anyway?

Zorlin3321 commented 5 years ago

I can try to reinstall java, but I do have it installed. regarding 9.5, I have tried it, trying it again

wow reinstalling java seems to have fixed most of the problems. Seems it was on java's side, not yours.
