Right now with Bitcoin Cash I can only see cash addr, can there not be a config button where I can choose to see the original address format? I use a lot of vanity gen addresses and now I can't see those anymore.

Hello,

We display addresses in 3 formats on the address dashboard page, e.g. https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/address/qp3wjpa3tjlj042z2wv7hahsldgwhwy0rq9sywjpyy

It’s also possible to search for old address format: https://blockchair.com/search?q=1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa

Yes but when I click through output and addresses of Bitcoin Cash it's all done in cash addr.

When I browse through blocks and outputs and inputs I can immediately recognize my own addresses like 1Niak6WPi1NDYquYGBc6TYVerheyEGeXM7 with a pattern in beginning and end. I can still browse through these on the Bitcoin-BTC side but I don't use BTC anymore, only Bitcoin Cash.

Now I need to go to blocktrail for that, and your site is a way better. Electron Cash also only allows me to use blockchair.

So it would be really nice to give a user the option in what address format he wants to browse the site even with Bitcoin Cash. I don't think that both chains will make it, so I think BTC will eventually go away ... and then cash addr was invented for nothing. Also try generate a vanity gen address like 1Niak6WPi1NDYquYGBc6TYVerheyEGeXM7 a second time, it's impossible! And I already use my address as a handle because people recognize it.

But now when I link to a Bitcoin Cash transactions on blockchair, they don't see it!!!!

I guess sooner or later all blockchain explorers will switch to the new format, so if you want to use vanity addresses, I’d recommend generating new ones.

I’ll add a feature request tag, maybe we’ll implement that if there’s high demand.

When you get lucky generating a unique adress, it's impossible finding a second one just like that.

Give it a try. I was looking for 1Niak and VerheyEGe was complete luck. (familly name)
