The site has a handful of caching issues due to poorly implemented apc/acpu. This also makes a test environment very difficult as every cached key needs to be changed as to not cause conflicts as the two sites around running on the same machine. It may be more effect to simply remove the caching.

also relevant, server has SSD and always has lots of processing power available while memory is limited.
