Add group using new user causes loss of content #96

Description

With a new user, after adding a new group and hit Add group the page flashed and all the content was gone from Event info and Group info boxes. Manual refresh showed information DID persist.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Register a new account
  2. Create an Event
  3. Click add group, and fill in boxes
  4. Click add group again.

Expected result

It should allow me to add more groups without a loss of content.

Actual result

Page flashed. All content was removed from boxes. I refreshed manually and the content returned and persisted.
