We could fix this by rate limiting this call to once a day
Or needing to go back to your flag's placed location to pick it up

The only reason I think keeping it at unlimited is for testing. Rate limiting it might be better because what if you drop a flag that glitches out and is placed in sub saharan Africa? That would be inconvenient picking up again.
