This will modify the planning in #4 if the clarification is that my interpretation here is in error.
That was quick! Reasoning is provided that indicates the rules have a somewhat good reason to allow 12.32 to be interpreted as written. Namely, that combined fire is much more effective than individual fires of the same net strength. That is going to make the target selection phase more difficult to set up...
Case 12.32: No target may be barraged more than once in a Combat Segment from each adjacent enemy occupied hex. Of course, Artillery units in a Forward position may combine Barrage strengths in one Barrage against a given Target.
This will, pending clarification, be assumed to be read as that no target may be barraged more than once in a Combat Segment. This simplifies rules over Target Selection greatly, and seems to make more sense.
Clarification is sought at the CNA Groups forum, and may be pursued over at the BoardGameGeek site at a later date (as the Game Designer is understood to have posted there in the past, and may do so again).
