Deployment write-up should include full instructions on how to get the application from code to hosting. I’d suggest explaining (1) how you set up Heroku, (2) how one commits and pushes code from the local filesystem to Github/Heroku and how Heroku automatically picks that up, and (3) how one might clone and run it locally. An example of how someone’s written (2) and (3) before can be found here.
