Won't run on integrated GPU. #53

I have a hybrid laptop and I've been trying to make the companion app run on my integrated GPU, but no matter what I do It won't.

The Windows Graphics Settings seem to do absolutely nothing on my laptop.

I'm using the 2021 Asus G14 with an RTX 3060 and 5900hs.

This is a limitation of Desktop Duplication API. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/troubleshoot/windows-client/shell-experience/error-when-dda-capable-app-is-against-gpu

Some people said it worked when they disabled the IGPU and just used the DGPU. But, do that at your own risk.

That unfortunately doesn't seem to work. I guess I'll just wait till something changes on that end.

Have you tried running both the companion app and the game on your dGPU?

It's already doing that. I can't get it NOT to.

Also tried doing both the methods above and was unable to use the companion app, its just as JaidynCG says. Im also on a hybrid laptop (MSI GL65) Anyone know any work arounds?

SOLUTION: Only for those with Virtual desktop installed in their VR headsets (NO COMPANION APP REQUIRED) Place the shaders required in the game directory. IF you have virtual desktop just launch the game, ensure to tick superdepth3D in shaders menu. After you do that the game will change and have 2 screens side by side. When still in virtual desktop click using your oculus touch controllers on the outside of the screen. An option of changing the screens to sbs side by side will show up outside the screen click on it and voila game is now in 3D. enjoy....
