Preformance issue with vr companion app #58

Shader works great but if I stream desktop through the companion app, performance drops significantly, I'm getting ~30-40fps in The Witcher 3 no matter what settings I use (gtx 1070) despite smooth framerate on a flat screen 80+fps. I tried both Oculus Link and VD (Quest 2), but performance with companion app is the same. If I don't use Companion App at all but stream using Virtual Desktop app natively (SBS mode) I'm getting 60+fps but image quality is not that great due to compression artifacts. So I'd like to use wired Link with companion app but overhead is too big for my system. It would be great if the companion app was more efficient.

I don't know about FPS performance, it seemed OK on a RTX 3080. But in fall 2022 i had significant judder with the companion app, even 60-80fps were unplayable. So, for me, it was more of a frame pacing issue. VorpX ran the same game butter-smooth.
