Projector Signal Issues #77

Trying to get this to work on my Epson 4k projector. I can load it up and see SBS or HOU, but can’t seem to get any game to send a signal to my projector in order to enable the 3D menu. In my Epson menu it is greyed out. Tried playing 3d movies via Plex and VLC on my PC and they won’t work either, which probably indicates the issue is more system-related.

Also running a 3000 series card in case this makes any difference although I thought S3D might be a workaround to Nvidia’s 3D content crippling.

I’ve disabled any type of scaling or enhancements and switched main resolution to 1920x1080. Tried a number of different resolutions in fact but still no luck.

Of course when I play the same content through my Shield Pro, everything works just fine.

Do you have any suggestions or tips to try to get this working? I’ve scoured the Internet looking for ways to get the menu working Thanks!

Update. Issue resolved. In case this helps anyone else I fixed it with the following:

  1. Discovered nVidia scaling is interfering with adaptive scaling. Turn off Nvidia Control Panel Scaling completely.
  2. In Nvidia control panel make sure display is set to aspect ratio.

Then the two separate scaling should match within windows allowing you to enable the 3D function of the projector.
