Why is TIFF better? Are they printing?
PNG is a much smaller file format, nice for emailing and viewing online, and very portable (the P is for portable).
We can do TIFF. We can do both! Whatever is easiest for clerks.
Watch out for file size breaking clerk's email system. TIFFs can get very big. They may think they want it, but some of them may not know to print them.

Hi all. From the clerks side, tiff can be directly imported to Elvis. With PNG we have to go through a save as conversion. No big deal right, until we have to do it thousands of times. Then it's a hassle. Tiff will make ksvotes more valuable to clerks because it will be easier to use. But, it might be worth testing with a few counties. Brian's comments are appreciated and noted. Out county is big on keeping the mailbox size down, but with a tiff I don't have to hold in archive for the slow months when we have time to convert from PNG.
TIFF is a better format for clerks. What would it take to change from PNG to TIFF?
