Hi Manuele
We are also developing a product based on HLW8112, we are able to get an accurate and stable frequency measurement. But with the IC set to calibration free mode, e.g. SYSCON registers set to: -Current Channel A Gain: 16 -Current Channel B Gain: 16 -Voltage Channel U Gain: 1 Reading out these registers again, confirms they are set correctly.
Unfortunately reading out the coefficient & value registers (RmsIAC, RmsIBC, RmsUC + Correct Checksum) returns some incorrect values after the calculations. E.g. an applied test load of 500W, at 230V leads to: 132V, 2A, 240W
Of course I could just correct by a factor 2 for the Ampere and Power, but that does is against the purpose of a calibration free IC, right?
What is your experience? Maybe it makes sense to communicate by email: mailgoe AT gmail DOT com
Hi, I'm creating a project with hlw8112. Was your 8110 stable? I mean were you able to measure correctly the frequency for istance?
Thanks Manuele
