Excerpt like on Wordpress #24

With the excerpt feature we can display a neat tooltip for the title of a board displaying in for example the topic list or on the BIS.

So this feature is to get an better idea of what a board is about before visiting the page and just hovering on the link if that link itself wasn't already self explaining enough.

There is no input field for this feature... It will grab the board description and cut it to a max of 300 characters to display in the title attribute.

For premium members there may be the option to have a field to define a custom excerpt.

You mean like a title attribute? In my opinion that'll just get too busy.

Yes and if so we can just make it a feature users can unlock and not being present by default.

I'm sure there are ways to make it not busy.

Why would people pay points for this? Why would we allow it? It makes stuff too busy and too busy makes it look like an unorganized mess which makes it look unprofessional which causes us to have a more hard time getting people to join BD.

I say there is no reason we can't add it and when we test it if we don't like it, we can remove it.
