Board Submission Form

This will be a 3 step process using JQuery. Users should be able to scroll back and forth to each step whenever they want as long as the form isn't submitted yet. The submitted boards should be added to the database but marked as unapproved.

Requirements:

Board Requirements:

• 1500+ posts
• 50+ topics
• 25+ users
• At least 1 month old

  User Requirements:

• Must be registered for at least 1 day
• Must have at least made 5 posts on Boardirectory Forums
• Must be board owner or board representative who has permissions from the board owner

  Submission Fields:

  Step 1 Fields:

• +Board Name - Unique name of the board
• +Board category - Drop Down
• +Board Description - Short Desc (500max)
• +Board URL - Real URL to board (e.g. http://boardirectory.org/board/)
• +Website URL - Real URL to website homepage (e.g. http://boardirectory.org/)
• +Board Slug - Description of the board in 1 sentence.
• Board Slogan
• Board Abbreviation - e.g. BD
• +Board Logo - URL to logo
• +Board Software - Drop Down

  Step 2 Fields:

• +Board Status - A dropdown to mention the board status. Below are the values. ↓
• +Who are you? - Drop Down of 3 options. Board Owner, Staff of board, BD staff.
• Board Owner on BD? - This should be the owner's username on Board Directory. If your are a staff of BD or the board fill this out if possible.
• Board Owner? - The username of the board owner on his own board. color, url, name.
• Board Founder? - Username of the guy who founded the board. color, url, name.
• +Created On - This should be the exact time the board was created on. It should be entered as YYYY-MM-DD.
• +Domain Registration Date: - This should be the date the domain was registered. It should be entered as YYYY-MM-DD. Click here in case you forgot it.

  Step 3 Fields:

• +Total Posts - Total post count of the board upon submitting.
• +Total Topics - Total topic count of the board upon submitting.
• +Total Members - Total member count of the board upon submitting.
• Favicon - Favicon of the board.
• Background Image - Background image of the board or one the board owner wants.
• Alexa - The alexa rank of the board.
• Pagerank - The pagerank of the board with the display of an image like: http://pr.prchecker.info/getpr.php?codex=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5pbnRlcnZpZXdlZHlvdS5jb20=&tag=1

  Certain values explained

Board Status: -Online - Is when the site is online, you can visit it. -Offline - Is when the forum has a closed down notice or something, or other type of page that disallows further access to any other page but the login. -Blank Page - Is when the domain is expired mainly and you get a white page when going to the forum address.

Who are you?

1. Board Owner. The member submitting is the board owner.
2. Staff of board. The member submitting is a staff on the board owners board.
3. BD staff The member submitting is a staff on our project.

   Values we can also add:

Average posts a day: Forum Activity: inactive - low - medium - good - high - very high (Last checked on 21th of February.) Post Quality: low - average - good - excellent (Last checked on 21th of February.)

Indexed by: Board Director (Without request of forum owner.) Template: V 1.0 (Default) Verified by forum owner: Unverified/verified.

You want people to choose their Promo Topic ID? Why?

They can't choose it. I am sorry. I actually mean for that to be displayed so people know this is board 100 in our directory.

We cannot display that obviously. Person A opens the submit window. They have board ID 5 now. Person B opens the submit window. They are 6. Person B submits first making their board ID 5.

Its simple. The ID is for which board is first in the database.

Why is the domain registration date a crucial field?

We could use that data somehow for the alexa value or the board age value.

For board age we can put in an extra setting:

Forum age is same as domain? Yes/no
