Im working on the movment system (exc motors) for a fully printed infiny z but i dont know if i use ball screws (printed) for the first version or printed linear motors it will take longer but in the discord we decised it was better to do linear motors in later versions but after infiny z vid on metal printing i dont know

I would suggest making the printer exactly as sunshine did it initially. My understanding is that no one has done this so far, therefore, there’s no way to determine that is better as far as I am reading it.

Please clarify if I am missing something.

This is just based on my experience of modifying other peoples designs, if it doesn’t work without modifications, then it definitely will not work with modifications. Especially for a complex assembly like this, there’s bound to be some issues even with just the original build.

I believe it is basically an ender 3 conversion but right now I don't really have the money to get another printer as I have just spent it all on getting the bits for metal printing so I was thinking linear motors because i might be able to make one and possibly design it to work with a regular control board as stepper motors in printer are 2 phase
