A lot of people report problems using FreeTDS.  Copy the SQL Server unit tests 
to freetdstests and create a connection from the 64-bit Fedora box to the 
Windows SQL Server box.

Also consider using the same test to connect from the Mac OS/X test box to the 
SQL Server box.
