Use standard process and exponential functions on OS X #10

Not sure if these were added for older OS X versions or if the conditional is inverted, perhaps? On my macOS setup FREEC fails to build with the underscore names and works fine with the normal names. As far as I'm aware the normal names have been available for a while - is there some reason to think otherwise?
